She can make any supporting role more special only by her talent like she did in a role of a strong-willed Bengali woman in “Yuva” or in a role of a Pakistani Lawyer in the movie “Veer Zaraa” or more recently “No one killed Jessica” where her portrayal of a kickass “On your face” gutsy journalist made people to take notice. She symbolizes the changing role of woman actresses in Bollywood where the female protagonist is not only a “toy” for male dominated hindi movies but a force to reckon with .She has the guts to carry a film on her own shoulder & breaking the myth that only male-dominated movies succeed in Bollywood. Awards & Achievements : Rani Mukerji occupied the top slot of Filmfare's 'Top Ten Bollywood Actresses' list for two years in a row (2004–2005). She was also placed number one on Rediff's 'Top Bollywood Female Stars' Rankings for three consecutive years (2004–2006), In February 2006, Filmfare Magazine placed her eighth amongst the "Ten Most Powerful Names of Bollywood", an achievement she repeated from the previous year, where she was ranked at number ten, the only woman on the list. The last time the filmmaker and the actress were spotted together was at Karan Johar’s mother Hiroo’s birthday party last year. However, on Saturday night, Rani and Adi came together to help friend Vaibhavi Merchant with her sister Shruti Merchant’s dance show. Rani Mukerji, a good friend of the choreographer, came with beau Aditya Chopra to help Merchant out a night prior to the big red carpet event. A source revealed, “Rani and Aditya were there to help Vaibhavi with the arrangements for Taj Express - the musical. It was a big event for Shruti. Vaibhavi was the choreographer for the musical. She had to make sure everything was up to mark. Rani and Adi helped her out with everything.” “Rani and Adi looked like a couple very much in love. They were sharing jokes with Vaibhavi and having a good time,” added the source. Veronika: Malayalam Star Prithviraj Set To Make His Debut In Bollywood With Rani Mukerji Prithviraj Sukumaran, better known as just Prithviraj, is all ready to make his debut entry into Bollywood with none other than Rani Mukerji. Although Prithviraj is a popular actor in the South, he is hardly known to the Bollywood audience. Some of his movies have included Raavanan, and the recently released Urumi with Genelia D'Souza. Apparently, Prithviraj has had plenty of offers from Bollywood before, but none of them really appealed to him, until this movie came along. The movie will be produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Sachin Kundalkar. Pairing up Rani with Prithviraj seems to be an obvious choice for the producer. Sources inform that Anurag was impressed with Rani's performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black. "Anurag has always felt that Rani is one of the most gifted actors around. But he didn't have an appropriate role for her. Now, he feels Rani is perfect for his next," says a source.
